Good Afternoon Resident

Over the last seven days there has been two burglaries one on Alton Road and the other on  Croydon Road. Offenders have stolen iPads, cash and jewellery.  We have had two attempt burglaries on Weoley Park Road and Dawlish Road.

Vehicle Crime

We have had 5 theft from motor vehicles on the following roads Frederick Road, Tiverton Road, Pershore Road, and Chapel Lane, offenders have stolen bags, air pods, laptops, money and mobiles. Offenders have also stolen a red Citreon C3 from Bristol Road.

Officer are investigating these offences and patrols are in place.

CRIME PREVENTION ADVICE

·  Please DO NOT leave valuables on display in your home and never leave items in your vehicles.

·  Invest in a full disc steering wheel lock for your vehicle

·  Make sure your fob has done its job. Check the doors are locked and all windows shut.

·  Invest in anti-snap locks for all your exterior doors

·  Invest in anti-tamper screws for your vehicles registration plates

·  DO NOT advertise on social media that you are going away on holiday

·  Use timer switches to plug lamps in, to come on at different times of day and night to show movement in your home

·  Invest in C.C.T.V

·  Property mark all valuables with postcode and a memorable word so if items are stolen and recovered we can return items to you. 

·  Make notes of serial numbers/IMEI numbers any distinguishing marks/logos

·  Please take photos of expensive jewellery so if anything is stolen you can show officers so they can attend stores that buy and sell these items
